Asrama is the word in sanskrit for ‘stage’ or ‘abode’. No matter whether you are living alone or within the family nucleus, you have chosen to enagage in a sensual earthly life or live in the forrest having renounced all earthly possessions and human attachments, your path can be one of spiritual growth. Through Yoga and meditation, rather than react to circumstances, we can choose how to respond to the world.
Our own yogic education started at the Sivananda Ashram in Kerala, a place removed from urban life, where spiritual and yogic disciplines are pursued. However, yogic texts reveal that whatever your situation in life you can benefit from yogic wisdom and you need not be isolated from the world in order to lead a calmer, more content and connected life. Our retreats navigate the balance between effort and rest, sensuality and acsetism. In other words we offer the discipline of a daily practice and healthy food, beautiful and yet simple accommodation alongside once in a lifetime experiences to nourish the mind and bring you joy.
Our logo represents the connection between man and our planet, The central figure at the base of tree assumes a meditative posture, revealing his/her energetic field encompassing the seven chakras.
The ability to know one self, to feel steady in yourself, to have equilibrium in your body and mind has great power for each of us individually and can lead you to discover new possibilities in your life.
Anywhere can be your ashram, starting with your own body and extending to the whole world.
